It depends if you have good friends or not, if you buy all new components or recovery on a fridge... About 100-150 I think for a very good single stage direct die system if you have already the compressor. New compressors (~200W) aren't cheap (~90-100 easily) And Yes I know this is an auction but price starts very low :D

If you could do a lot of this block for France for example, sell them at least 30 = 135 zl and you will be rich !!! :D You have no idea that french people (or others) would kill to have a such block at this very low price :o . I'll say that to my forumers, I think you'll have a lot of orders for this block if you want LOL :D

I found a translator for zl to euro. 31zl = 7.13euro , you are crazy to have a such very low price for the moment 8O . You could have here, very easily, at least ~50 euros = 217 zl with a such good quality 8)

EDM is a really expensive milling method because it's very very slow (only 2-4mm/min depends on the material, the thickness, etc...) You should ask to friends who work in milling firms to help you, I'm sure you know one in your family for example :wink:

No problem I understand well your english :) . Mine is far to be perfect too :lol: I know that it's a lot of work to cut at 45 or 30° the fins but we have done all these blocks (about 15 with variants) for free thanks to a good friend !!

Some members of my forum took my design to realize micro-pins evaporators with a huge rough area to have excellent boiling ! This is the evaporator below (50*50mm and 8mm fins). 7h EDM are needed to realize pins of one of them ! I let you imagine the price of one of this babies :lol: :

liquidboy > Thx. You should try to cut at 90° yours fins like my pins variant and wb perf will be better :) (1°C for ~110W in my case with the P4). But it's difficult with a CNC because milling constraints will destroy fins, with EDM we don't have any contact so no deformations ->perfect to do that cut design.

RaVeN155 > Test on processors only (P4 3.4GHz at 1.81V to have lot of heat and a better view of differences) but with a maximum control (multi-mounting, temp control, etc...) and my results are repeatable. A core simulator is good for research and development but you need strong experience to use it with good measure instruments and know what you are doing (a lot of people on different website don't have methodology and accuracy to use one...) Others complete tests (pressure drop, etc..) are needed because I don't have time to do what I want and this block is recent :) but results are agree with theory. The 0.3mm wb is less restrictive than the 0.5mm version and it offers about twice area in comparison of 0.5mm version so the 0.3mm wb is better (convection equation). Performance is one thing but not the only goal I want to achieve. I want smaller wb possible (less weight, less money, less space). Others wb with same principle are in projet to be very very small (<25*25*4mm) with 0.17mm channels or smaller (true microchannel). But I have a lot of projects in the same time (microchannels with EDM directly on the P4 IHS, direct die on IHS...) so everything progress slowly :lol:

Very nice job Liquidboy :wink: (I'm Rosco from cooling-masters.com) Do you use only CNC (saw milling cutter I presume) or wire EDM (ELECTRICAL DISCHARGE MACHINE) like me? I don't understand polish so I ask you. There's another new waterblock done using 0.3mm fins and 0.3mm channels with EDM (very fragile so CNC not recommended here). Above a comparison with previous wb (40*40mm not 50*50mm like you) in 0.5 mm . So tiny and so sexy :lol: : Happy to see nice job here.
