  1. Z jednej strony napewno chodzi o promowanie Quad Core, SLI, Triple SLI i Quad SLI i co tam jeszcze nVidia i Intel sobie wymśli. Nikt nie prowadzi instytucji charytatywnej ;), wiadomo, że każdy chce zarobić. Możliwe jest też, Crytek ma dostęp do następny high endowych GPU, które jeszcze nie ujrzały światła dziennnego.

  2. Kolejny ciekawy fragment z tematu na nvnews ;)

Does not seem to be using 4 cores only two at the moment. I was using high settings and my mem usage was at 1.58 while playing. Cpu was at 22% with core 1&4 being busy and 2&3 doing nothing. I had put settings on Very high, but was avg 19-22. So I set everything to high. Newer driver didn't seen to increase frames.

Nie moje screeeny nie wiem na jakim sprzęcie robione.

    Na takim ;)

This guy has a C2E with gf8800gtx and 4GB ram, plays at 1280x1024 on Very High with Vista Ultimate 64bit.

And he gets 23 fps at that spot (Notice the amazing rocks too...). Sometimes it goes up to 40 fps apparently.

  4. Dzieki za szybką odpowiedź.

W demo Bioshock grałem na PC i jakoś mnie nie wciągnęło.

    Czyli zostanę przy PGR4 i ewentualnie Forza2. A w listopadzie pewnie kupię COD4.

  6. Dwa news'y z http://www.fudzilla.com/

8800 GT cannot do triple SLI

We've learned a quite disturbing fact. The soon to be launched, Geforce 8800GT won’t feature support for the upcoming Triple SLI.

This will be a feature reserved only for the high-end cards but we have confirmed a few details for the this and will follow up on this one as soon as we can. It looks like Triple SLI will be a high-end card feature only and it won’t work on slower cards.

You will need a new 780i chipset to get Triple SLI operational and this chipset comes in November.

8800GT to be available at the launch

    But in limited numbers

Geforce 8800GT will launch on the 29th and Nvidia will prove that it can ship the cards back to many etailers and retailers at the launch date. Do not be surprised if the 8800GT gets sold out soon after the launch as this is going to be a very sexy product and many will want to buy one.

Some people might hold their breath to see the Radeon HD 2950XT in action as it will cost roughly the same and it will launch about two weeks later, but Nvidia is walking on very solid ground with 8800 GT. This single slot card looks attractive and it should be quite fast as well.

We can confirm that the partners are making their own cards and that, at the same time, Nvidia is making reference cards for the ones who don't like to mess with Nvidia reference design. The boxes are being printed and the cards will be available at launch, on the 29th.

  7. NVIDIA aims for 3 TFLOPS with next high-end GPU

"GeForce 9800" will be a monster. Not that I think that this statement surprises you the least bit, but we were told by a friend that the next high-end GPU will not only sport double the performance of the ATi R680/2950X2, but actually triple the performance. The card "R680" is suppose to have two RV670 chips side by side on a single PCB and be able to output around 1 TFLOPS. This is the next high-end card from AMD/ATI, but we should not forget about R700 which is due this Spring. G92, or whatever we should call it due to the code-name mismatch in some charts, is also slated for launch in Spring.

When we first heard about the 3 TFLOPS it was too early for us to actually believe them, but it seems that NVIDIA is still telling its partners that 3 TFLOPS is what they will be getting.

Three TFLOPS could very well be a reference to Tri-SLI, or a dual-GPU card, but the source was rather specific in that NVIDIA is saying the circuit will be capable of 3 TFLOPS. We'll just have to wait and see.

  8. Q&A: Crytek CEO specs out Crysis

Cevat Yerli spells out the system requirements for his upcoming first-person shooter, and offers insight on getting the most from the hardware.

Here are the minimum and recommended system requirements from Crytek and EA:

    Minimum System Requirements

OS – Windows XP or Windows Vista

Processor – 2.8 GHz or faster (XP) or 3.2 GHz or faster* (Vista)

Memory – 1.0 GB RAM (XP) or 1.5 GB RAM (Vista)

    Video Card –256 MB**

    Hard Drive – 12GB

Sound Card – DirectX 9.0c compatible

    * Supported Processors: Intel Pentium 4 2.8 GHz (3.2 GHz for Vista) or faster, Intel Core 2.0 GHz (2.2 GHz for Vista) or faster, AMD Athlon 2800+ (3200+ for Vista) or faster.

** Supported chipsets: NVIDIA GeForce 6800 GT or greater; ATI Radeon 9800 Pro (Radeon X800 Pro for Vista) or greater. Laptop versions of these chipsets may work but are not supported. Integrated chipsets are not supported. Updates to your video and sound card drivers may be required.

    Recommended System Requirements

OS – Windows XP / Vista

    Processor – Intel Core 2 DUO @ 2.2GHz or AMD Athlon 64 X2 4400+

    Memory – 2.0 GB RAM

GPU – NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GTS/640 or similar

    I jeszcze jedna ciekawostka ;)

GS: When we talked last year it was said that Crysis will ship with 32-bit and 64-bit versions. Is 64-bit still in the box? Does it offer any kind of performance improvements as predicted?

CY: Yes 64-bit in general runs better than 32-bit. In fact I would recommend gamers run 64-bit only under very-high configurations. We ship both 32-and-64-bit out of box.
