mam problem z zainstalowaniem sterownikow od karty graficznej. sciagnalem stery ze strony glownej nvidii, ale podczasinstalacji wywalaja mi takie warningi

myslalem ze trzeba skompilowac jadro na nowsze. pobralem sie zrodla 2.6.19 i skompilowalem. niewiele to jednak zmienilo i jak stery nie chcialy tak dalej nie chca sie zainstalowac. dodam jeszcze, ze jestem poczatkujacym uzytkownikiem linuxa, ale zaczyna mi sie on podobac :)

acha i googlowalem juz troche, ale to nic nie pomoglo. moj kumpel co juz kilka lat zajmuje sie linuxem tez zabardzo nie wie o co chodzi...

Wszystko masz napisane w komunikacie, jeśli stery dobrze wykryły Twoją grafikę, to jest GF4 MX którego sterowniki z linii 1.0.97XX nie obsługują (GF 3 i 4 przeszły do linii legacy sterowników). Zainstaluj starsze 96XX i będzie dobrze :wink: . Edytowane 12 Stycznia 2007 przez lukas8

dzieki za rade, poszedlem za twoja rada i sciagnalem starsze. proba instalacji nie powiodla sie znowu. tym razem wyplulo cos takiego

dlaczego nie moze zbudowac modulu?

Tak na szybko , bo o tym sie zapomina na ogół :) , z pliku README na stronce nvidii

If no matching precompiled kernel interface is found, then the installer

will compile the kernel interface for you. However, first it will

check that you have the correct kernel headers intalled on your system.

If the installer must compile the kernel interface, then you must install

the kernel-sources package for your kernel

Wydaje mi się że 9626 nie obsługują kernela 2.6.19 wprowadzono ją dopiero w 9631.

miales racje lukas, wystarczylo sciagnac stery w wersji 9631, bo wszystko inne juz mialem (kernel-source tez) :)
