Seagate Momentus XT vs HDD Scan 3.3 / CristalDiskInfo

Witam,

posiadam dysk Seagate Momentus XT 500GB (ST95005620AS) przy okresowym sprawdzaniu program HDD Scan oraz CristalDiskInfo wkazują na błędy S.M.A.R.T. w End To End Error Count

(Atrybut ten oznacza, że po przesłaniu przez bufor danych, ich parzystość nie jest zgodna (pomiędzy kontrolerem a twardym dyskiem).

Jako, że sprzedawca już nie istnieje chciałem zglościć RMA w Seagate, lecz najpierw upewniłem się wysyłając Case z pytaniem czy wyserwisują dysk jeżeli HDD Scan / CristalDiskInfo wskazują błędy SMART natomiast narzędzie Seagate NIE WYKRYWA blędów S.M.A.R.T, dysk przechodzi test pozytywnie.

The SMART values that might be read out by the SMART software is not based on how the values are used within the Seagate hard drives.

 

Seagate uses the Seatools Diagnostic software to test the SMART values of the drive. Seagate does not support software programs that read SMART-values like the programs that you describe.

 

We use the pass or fail options. The individual values are proprietary therefore we do not have a utility that will read out the values. If the values that you are seeing with a third party SMART utility are not displaying properly or seem to be false, please contact your software vendor for further explanation of the values.

Czy dobrze rozumiem, że według SEAGATE w Momentusie XT w SMART nie występuje pozycja END TO END ERROR i dlatego narzędzie Seagate nie wykrywa błędów ? Tylko standardowo po zakupie też sprawdziłem SMART w HDD Scan 3.3 i wszystko było na zielono.
